WATER AND RIVERS WITH WATER RECREATION

FISHING has been a way of life in Northern Idaho for as long as the area has been inhabited.  Lake Pend Oreille’s deep waters are home to big, blue-ribbon fish. Two dozen species of native and introduced fish live in Lake Pend Oreille, 17 of which are recognized as sport species, including cold-water natives such as westslope cutthroat, rainbow and bull trout. It was from these deep, cold waters that an angler netted a world-record 37-pound Gerrard rainbow trout, and many other trophy fish surpassing 40 pounds have been pulled from this lake. And do not miss the casual fine dining on the floating restraunt 

7 mile-long BULL LAKE, is situated among various types of flora and dense conifers. It offers a boat ramp, fishing access from your own private dock, picnic area, and nice views of the immediate vicinity. Fish species include eastern brook and rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and large mouth bass.  

HIKING AND CASUAL RECREATION AREA

Hiking trails are accessible and the campground is located just 3 miles from the Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Area, a growth of 500-year-old giant western red cedars. All within walking distance, or a nice bike ride.
